In the hands of Pārvatī Mā:
a retreat in the nature of the Spanish mountains where we will rest, centre, and create, shaped with the power and wisdoms of the great goddess
Las Mecias Saturday 26 June - Saturday 3 July 2027
An off grid regenerative project in Alpujarras Spain ran by women

Nina & Laura have created the most beautiful self-sustainable regenerative farm, vegetable gardens, orchards and food forest in the vast, quiet mountains of Alpujarra. They are both chefs by trade so the food is extra delicious.
There is a range of comfortable accommodation options, all built & decorated thoughtfully.
Yoga • Meditation • Storytelling •Wild Clay Ceramics • Yantra colouring • Market & Beach Day • Delicious Farm to Table food

Most people say what they love most about my yoga classes is the mythology ….so for a whole week I’ll be weaving the stories of Parvati Mā into the morning meditation, daily asana practices, evening yin/restorative classes. We’ll colour her Yantra, chant her Mantras, and sit in the mountains, wade in the river, gather clay and create our own Ganesha murti’s and there will be plenty of time to rest/sunbathe/read/swim in the pool/walk.

We’ll have a day trip out. In the morning at the market in Orgiva ,Which is full of Indian goodies and a afternoon at a beautiful beach with a picnic.

Pārvatī stands as one of the most revered figures in the yogic and tantric traditions — a radiant symbol of love, devotion, unwavering spiritual resolve, inner power, harmony, and sacred union. She is the beloved partner of Shiva, the mighty ascetic, and the mother of Ganesha and Kartikeya. Yet her essence is not confined to these roles — she carves her own identity through her choices, her journey, and her boundless spiritual strength.
Pārvatī embodies the universal ideal of:
-
The woman who reshapes herself through courage and conviction
-
The woman who loves deeply yet remains true to her soul
-
The woman who balances gentleness and ferocity with effortless grace
-
The woman who moves between roles with fluid strength
-
The woman who prioritises her own worth, even in love
In the words of beloved Sally Kempton “Parvati’s unique energy can help us to find a balance between strength and softness. Her energy is a mixture of two feminine poles. She is a strong goddess related to Durga and Kali yet she’s also a goddess of love. She’s powerful and she’s tender, she’s wilful and she’s playful, she’s a supreme yogini.”
